some things you just can't rush...

today morning was small and on-shore crappy swell so decided to spent the

day working hard... but, it wasn't working good!!!!

so it's always better to stop than do crappy work, it comes with experience....

so, better watch the waves again....

it has increase, some head high, glassy but still a bit of bumps...

but some really good lefts pealing EMPTY!!! that's the most important nowadays

I took the mini fins from my mini longboard that zoe have been riding,

put some old carbon G7 fins - I like BIG fins - grab my old, old, nineplus wetsuit 

and hit the water....

It felt so good!!!! and that board is so good, straight away 

my feet were where it suppose,  like a friend said: 

"É como andar de bicicleta....." it's like riding a bike

turning, trimming... the board is just magic, cause it's really good for me

as well for my 9 year old daughter...  

now I'm back !!!

the man that stuck a longboard on my feet

it's quite funny how tiny moments can change totally your coarse in life...

I was really away on the idea that the small push of my good old friend "Ermitas" on trying a longboard would have been the engine for a huge change in my path on the surfing and in even bigger in life.

I still remember the words he always said to me "you've got the ride a longboard men, you have a great style surfing shortboards if you'll ride longboards it would be even better......"

And here I'm today with the life I couldn't think it would be possible, with my work been

recognize over seas by world class log riders  and most important, enjoying all

log session I do and every single blank I take into the 

shaping bay...

I think it is time to say THANK YOU my good friend and log buddy for 

putting a longboard on my feet on that wonderful journey through the north of spain....

here's the latest mini longboard come out of the 

retro movement factory

a beautiful single fin with diamond tail a square nose, the width of

a standard longboard a bit of hard edge in the tail

plenty of volume and something new that I've been work on

a scoop nose to reduce significantly the volume up front

this allows for plenty of volume under the chest increasing

the paddling skills and while turning from the tail you don't

have to deal with a lot of board making extremely

easy the turns without compromise the

noseride capabilities....

The Southern California shaping world has lost one of its forefathers today with the death of beloved Dana Point shaper Terry Martin. Martin shaped surfboards for more than 60 years, most of them with Hobie Surfboards, before losing his battle with melanoma at the age of 74. He will be missed.
